Don Estelle (May 22 1933 - August 2, 2003) was a British actor and singer.

In the 1960s he had a few cameo roles within Coronation Street and ''Dad's Army''.

He became swell known for swimming a section of Cannoneer 'Lofty' Sugden in the 1970s British sitcom ''It Ain't Half Hot Mum''. A character was dubbed sustaining a ironic nickname of "Lofty" in account of Don Estelle's little stature. He got a remarkable tenor & as a spin-byproduct from either the series, Estelle & his co-star, Windsor Davies had a first hit in the UK with a semi-comic version of Whispering Grass He also acted in the films Non Today Comrade, Personal Work (1984) & Santa Claus: A Flick (1984).

In the foremost series of The League of Gentlemen he made brief appearances in both episodes when Little Don, keeper of the Roundabout Zoo (i personally.e., the menagerie on the island of the roundabout intersection).
